Conscious Consumption: Every Drop Is a Decision

Picture a typical cleaning routine: you twist a cap, pour, scrub, and—almost without thinking—toss another rigid plastic bottle into the “recyclables” bin that rarely gets recycled. That tiny gesture ripples far beyond the kitchen sink. It is a vote for the kind of world you, your children, and your city will inherit.

No wonder 83 % of Indian shoppers now weigh packaging impact before they buy, and nearly half already steer their carts toward greener options.

Yet the math behind “buy-and-bin” is brutal. Up to 40 % of a supermarket cleaner’s price pays for virgin plastic, labels, and others. Easy Drop deletes those costs. Switch a detergent and a floor cleaner to our two-bottle home loop and, in five years, one family stops 148 bottles—7 kg of polymer—from ever existing while saving about 30 % per litre. Refills arrive on demand, each bottle tagged, steam-sterilised, and ready.

Live in a big complex?

A single Easy Drop smart dispenser shared by 50 households erases 4,500 throw-away bottles and returns another 10 % in bulk savings every year. What feels like a private swap becomes civic action: lighter garbage trucks, clearer lakes, a smaller carbon bill for all.

That’s why Easy Drop is built on three verbs:

  • Refill – pay only for the active ingredient, not the disposable shell.
  • Reverse – pull each container back, sanitise, and send it out again.
  • Rethink – see cleaning not as a compulsory purchase but as a circular service.

“Subscribe” – Every refill thereafter is frictionless proof that a spotless home need not scar the planet. One simple switch, and your daily routine joins a city-wide movement, “trading plastic mountains for a lighter, brighter Bengaluru”. Conscious living isn’t sacrifice; it’s smart economics with a cleaner conscience.

Home Bottle Rotation – The Doorstep Subscription – Engineered for individual villas, independent floors, or smaller buildings without a common dispenser.

Two-bottle loop technology – At sign-up, we allocate two high-grade polypropylene (PP-5) containers. Each bottle is water proof-printed for durability, avoiding paper labels that peel and micro-shed. While Bottle “A” sits on your counter, Bottle “B” is at our refill hub undergoing a rinse & steam sanitisation. When your stock dips below the embossed “refill” line, simply type “Swap” on your WhatsApp; with in 48hrs a rider collects the empty, drops a freshly filled twin, and the cycle continues.

Why households love it

  • From thirty down to two. A typical family buys 7 × 1 L detergent and 24 × 750 ml cleaner bottles every year—roughly 37 units. Across five years that balloons to 185 bottles. The Easy Drop loop slashes that to just two per product—an astounding >1,000 % reduction in plastic inflow.
  • Five-year durability. PP-5 resists cracking at −20 °C and warping at 90 °C, tolerates 75 mechanical rotations, and remains 100 % recyclable at end of life.
  • Door-to-door convenience. No juggling grocery apps, no waiting for “sale days,” no hidden delivery fees. You pay a flat subscription that includes logistics, cleaning, and wear-and-tear.

How it works

A compact IoT-enabled dispenser, no bigger than a vending machine, is installed in common areas. Inside sit four stainless-steel canisters filled with Easy Drop’s most-loved liquids—dish wash, floor cleaner, liquid detergent, and foaming hand wash. Residents interact with the UI of Easy Drop, select the exact volume they need—from 100 ml for a weekend top-up to 2 L for a deep-clean month—and place their own bottle in the dispensing bay. A laser calibrates fill height, the screen guides the user, and the pump doses the product in under 30 seconds. Payment is supported by UPI.

Why societies love it

  • Zero new plastic. Each refill dodges a single-use bottle; across 50 homes that’s over 4,500 bottles—or 450 kg—kept out of landfills every year.
  • Real-time savings. Without caps, labels, secondary cartons, or long-haul freight, the rupee per millilitre drops 20 – 30 % below supermarket equivalents.
  • No bulky storage. Residents buy only what fits under the sink today, not a “buy-one-get-one” stockpile that expires before it empties.
